Join Us for Hidden Hills’ First Firewise Community Wildfire Mitigation Event
Wildfire is a reality in our region, and preparation is key. The City of Hidden Hills is proud to be recognized by the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) as a Firewise Community, a program that brings neighbors together with local, state, and federal partners to strengthen wildfire safety in the wildland/urban interface.
Now, for the very first time, Hidden Hills Firewise is inviting all residents to a Community Wildfire Mitigation Event. This interactive program is designed to give you practical knowledge and resources to better protect your home and family.
Together, we’ll tackle important questions, such as:
- What does the City being recognized as a Firewise Community mean for you as a resident?
- How does being an officially recognized Firewise Community affect your insurance rates and options?
- Best practice home hardening and defensible space tips. Is it even an option anymore or is it mandatory?
- What activities qualify as “Firewise,” and is there a clear list?
- What role will the Los Angeles County Fire Department play in protecting our homes during a wildfire?
- How to obtain a FREE professional fire assessment of your property?
Please join members of your City Council, Los Angeles County Fire, and the City’s Firewise Consultant at this important community event, and leave with the tools and insights you need to make informed decisions about wildfire safety.
